My landscape efforts - OurJud - 01-28-2017 Can't believe I've had GIMP for so long and have only just starting playing around with it's artistic elements. These are all from scratch - no filtered photos. Thanks for looking GIMPscapes RE: My landscape efforts - sallyanne - 01-29-2017 (01-28-2017, 11:58 PM)OurJud Wrote: Can't believe I've had GIMP for so long and have only just starting playing around with it's artistic elements. I just use a crappy old mouse - which is fine as most of my stuff is abstract anyway. Not looked into getting a decent tablet and pen, but I suspect it's beyond my current means. RE: My landscape efforts - nelo - 01-30-2017 very nicely done. I like the sunset best. Cheers nelo RE: My landscape efforts - OurJud - 01-30-2017 Thanks, nelo RE: My landscape efforts - trandoductin - 01-30-2017 I like River's Edge. RE: My landscape efforts - OurJud - 01-30-2017 Thanks, trandoduction. River's Edge is certainly the more conventional (in fact it doesn't really sit comfortably with the abstract style of the others). I like it, but it starts to expose my amateurism as it moves towards the river itself. It starts to take on an 'airbrush' look and I think this is because I used the blend tool too much. |
