ASCII art (in a very loose sense) - rich2005 - 05-16-2018 The recent post on editing an ASCII chart made me pull out this old-ish editor, javE It will output a gif so you can open in GIMP to refine it Now, what did I do with that old dot-matrix printer, the sideways program (anyone remember that from spreadsheets) and the stack of fan-fold paper. RE: ASCII art (in a very loose sense) - Ofnuts - 05-16-2018 One of my first hobby programs for the PC (so, back in '83..) used the screen character bitmap in the ROM to make an big version of the input text built with asterisks. Not really meant for art, since it was mostly used to generate headers for listings. |
