automatically connected lines - cubsterky - 02-11-2017 Hi With gimp is there a tool where u can draw straight lines, and after u click the endpoint of a line it starts a new line that is connected to the first line? And so on? I've been having to be very careful when connecting lines. I'd like to draw electronics diagrams with only a few clicks RE: automatically connected lines - Blighty - 02-11-2017 Here are 2 methods (there may be more). 1. Use the drawing tools (pencil, paintbrush) Click the first point. Then hold down the Shift key and click subsequent points. (Also hold down Ctrl key for horizontal and vertical lines - constrains to 15 degrees) 2. Use the Path tool Draw a path, then stroke the path. The path is good at drawing curves. You may want to check the Polygonal in the tool options to restrict the path to straight lines. Use lots of layers. This makes it easier to make alterations / correct mistakes. |
