Gimp 2.8 & 2.10 startup claiming files are missing, but still works - bullspit - 08-03-2018 I figured since I've decided to pick up graphic design again that I'd post this annoying bug. I'm not sure why, but everytime I install Gimp I keep seeing how it says certain filters & dll files are missing or won't open, but the program as a whole still works. My main reason for posting this is to hopefully get rid of this from happening everytime it starts up so I don't have to leave the application all day without having to click away at 30 error windows. RE: Gimp 2.8 & 2.10 startup claiming files are missing, but still works - Ofnuts - 08-03-2018 Possibly plug-ins you had in 2.8 that have been carried to 2.10 but don't work there. So I would start by removing all the plugins in your Gimp profile(*), and adding them back one by one (and perhaps finding newer versions). (*) Edit>Preferences>Folders>Plug-ins, and check any directories that are not in the Gimp installation tree itself |
