Ellipse Selection Bug on GIMP 2.10.4 or changed? - andresgrad - 08-16-2018
Hi there!
I just moved from 2.8 to 2.10.4 using GIMP on GNU/Linux Xubuntu 18.04.
I have noticed that the Ellipse Selection has changed or it has a bug. I was used to make a ellipse selection on 2.8 and it just selected the ellipse inside, but it does not work like that on 2.10. I have to go to the menu > Select > Everything and then use the ellipse selection to make it work.
Is it a bug or it changed the way we have to use it? May I fix it installing anything?

in 2.10 you have to strike [Enter] (or double-click) to "commit" the selection.

I have tried what you said and it didn't work. I do press ENTER or DOUBLE CLICK (inside the ellipse or outside) and it does not commit the selection.
