Best way for mirrored edging on canvas wrap prints ? - KumsaJack - 08-19-2018 I use GIMP extensively, and it's the front end for printing with Turboprint. Lately, I've been doing canvas wraps, and these require mirrored edges. I can do them manually, but that's very slow. I've looked for a GIMP tool, but can't find a match up for the process. I've attached an example of one that was done by select/paste/transform on each edge. Thanks for any shared experience RE: Best way for mirrored edging on canvas wrap prints ? - Blighty - 08-19-2018 Look on this page https://sourceforge.net/projects/gimp-tools/files/scripts/ There is a script called ofn-symmetries. Try that. Try the straight symmetry first, not the diagonal symmetry. (Script will be found in the layer menu) RE: Best way for mirrored edging on canvas wrap prints ? - rich2005 - 08-19-2018 Years since I did any of those. I think I used an ImageMagick script. No real automatic way, Same place as last post but a plugin ofn_guillotine_layers https://sourceforge.net/projects/gimp-tools/files/scripts/ofn-guillotine-layer.zip/download A bit more convenient than the regular guillotine. Image with suitable borders. First horizontally then vertically to get the 4 half layers. Flip with the flip tool, Move out to the edge. The move tool moves quickly using shift-(cursor key), to give something like this: https://i.imgur.com/10jrlXH.jpg For a non-exact (but interesting) fill, the resynthesizer + heal-transparency.py plugins. I suppose your images will be large, so this takes forever. Same image with borders, Heal-transparency plugin with suitable settings. https://i.imgur.com/gdLsM0O.jpg Set it going, have a cup or two of coffee, walk round the block.
