image size - al.da.drone - 09-01-2018 This is probably a stupid question even for my standards. If i find a image on Google that is 341 x 337 is it possible using some form of program on Gimp or a stand alone app to magic the image size to make it so it doesnt lose quality when scaling it. Think this isn't possible. Thanks RE: image size - Blighty - 09-01-2018 Bitmaps always loose quality when scaling. The more you scale the greater the loss of image quality is likely to be. RE: image size - al.da.drone - 09-01-2018 Thought so I suppose you can trace it to a vector graphic RE: image size - Blighty - 09-01-2018 (09-01-2018, 06:41 PM)al.da.drone Wrote: Thought so I suppose you can trace it to a vector graphic It can be easy to trace if it is a simple image like a logo with just a few coloiurs. Not so easy for complex images like photos with thousands of colours. Inkscape has an auto tracing tool.
