How to change resolution w/out changing size? - drpeppercan - 04-05-2017 Hi all, I just want to decrease the resolution of my image. The problem is that every time I try it also affects the image's size. I go to the Image menu, then Scale image. Thanks guys, DPC RE: How to change resolution w/out changing size? - Kevin - 04-05-2017 Would Filters>>Blur>>Pixelise do what you want: [attachment=436] RE: How to change resolution w/out changing size? - rich2005 - 04-05-2017 I wonder if it is this? [attachment=437] Left ImageĀ 200x200 pix resolution 96 ppi Print size is 53 x 53 mm Right Image If the resolution is doubled to 192 ppi then to maintain the print size 53 x 53 mm the image size also has to be doubled to 400x400 pix That is the way raster (bitmapped) images work. |
