Monitor picture quality adjustment & photo from printer - plumbergp - 04-21-2019 I am using an LG ultra HD monitor. I used the LG standard color setting for this model. Noted that the photo printout quality (Epson L360) is different than what I see on the monitor. Like to know how can I set my monitor and printer such that the picture quality will be about the same as on my monitor, printed photos from my printer AND from photo studio. I saw a device to calibrate the monitor before. Cost stops me from venturing that path. Any better cheaper way? Many thanks. RE: Monitor picture quality adjustment & photo from printer - Ofnuts - 04-21-2019 It is really a matter of calibrating the whole chain, and setting up color profiles for your screen and your printer. RE: Monitor picture quality adjustment & photo from printer - rich2005 - 04-21-2019 There is no real substitute for a correct monitor calibration .icm but often monitor default brightness is too high. This site has some useful guides https://www.cambridgeincolour.com/ and a couple of simple (rough) adjustments https://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials/monitor-calibration.htm RE: Monitor picture quality adjustment & photo from printer - plumbergp - 04-22-2019 (04-21-2019, 04:48 PM)Ofnuts Wrote: It is really a matter of calibrating the whole chain, and setting up color profiles for your screen and your printer. My layman's view is like what you have stated. But I am wondering on how to do it. (04-21-2019, 07:04 PM)rich2005 Wrote: There is no real substitute for a correct monitor calibration .icm but often monitor default brightness is too high.
