Layers of circular arrow dial markers - AmazingGimp - 12-31-2019 I have been using the ofnuts dialmarkers to generate square markers. Is there any way i can generate a rotating arrow in multiple layers, maybe with similiar concept of the dialmarkers ? Arrows as such: https://i.imgur.com/a/4neC9zO Only tutorial i found out there to create circular arrow is from inkscape: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGFp4EoJi9g RE: Layers of circular arrow dial markers - Ofnuts - 01-01-2020 Create one circular arrow, and then, animate it with ofn-rotate-layers.

Trick, the fade is from opaque to transparent (at least with the standard Fade Opacity dynamics), so it goes in the direction opposite to the spinner's rotation. So if you do a CW spinner, do a CCW path, or flip the image at some point.
RE: Layers of circular arrow dial markers - rich2005 - 01-01-2020 Going back to arrows such as: https://i.imgur.com/a/4neC9zO You can still get free vectors (although becoming increasing rare) do a search here https://freesvg.org Apart from opening a SVG as an image, the component paths can be imported from right-click in the paths dock. It might be that one of the pre-made arrows work for you. More probably you will need to make your own as Ofnuts indicated or just create a suitable icon. I would create a path for this, takes a little practice but you will get there. Then it is just the same as your previous posts, various ways to make an animation. https://i.imgur.com/bc0eFgm.mp4 RE: Layers of circular arrow dial markers - AmazingGimp - 01-01-2020 (01-01-2020, 09:22 AM)Ofnuts Wrote: Create one circular arrow, and then, animate it with ofn-rotate-layers. Happy New Year everyone... What a decade... Ofnuts, can you share the xcf file? At least I can see what I should expect. Thanks. Yup, that's what it looking for, rotational arrows in your last gif but probably with slimmer arrows wings. I'll find one or try to draw it. Happy new year. RE: Layers of circular arrow dial markers - rich2005 - 01-01-2020 There are Gimp users who use paths for design extensively, not me but I know the basics. This is not a tutorial, again just some hints at getting started and setting up a canvas, which is half the battle. There will be other ways.
