Creating a Flyer help me please - helpgimpsucks - 02-26-2020 Why does Gimp suck so much? Like i literally had to google how to crop an image in Gimp.... I'm trying to take an image I have and create a calendar. Why is this so hard.....? I literally am losing the will to even post this.... I just want to add a calendar to gimp. why is that so hard? I've seen plugins but they have disappeared. RE: Creating a Flyer help me please - marigolden - 02-26-2020 Lol yeah there's a learning curve undoubtedly. Now are you asking if there is a template for a calendar, or you have a plain calendar picture and want to open it and gimp and connect this other picture to it so it sort of folds when printed? All you have to do is ask and are you really using Gimp 2.8 and linux ? Gimp is not the best tool for a calendar script but there is one http://chiselapp.com/user/saulgoode/repository/script-fu/wiki?name=sg-calendar Using Gimp 2.8 and linux (ubuntu), you might start off like this. From the US ? Use the US letter template. Make a selection. Apply the script, find it in Filters -> Render -> Calendar [attachment=3995] That gives a simple calendar [attachment=3996] Add an image / logo / banner / month name as required. [attachment=3997] For a flyer? Gimp not the best tool. From memory LibreOffice has a calendar template or to send to a printing company have a look at Scribus. |
