Cannot get imige to fit - hendrikbez - 04-29-2020

I am Trying to make this file "00_S_2_0.xcf" to look like this file http://www.xcf, but I cannot get the : to fit in the spaces, how can I get it to fit

Why does it need to be a character? Are you going to use other characters later?

It need to be two dots one over each other. Now, if this is text, your problem is that the baseline is too low, but you can change the baseline of selected text with the on-canvas dialog:

If you want "00_S_2_0.xcf" to look like "http://www.xcf" This is one way

1. Crop tool in Layer Only Mode Crop the : character to your guides. Note: This layer is no longer text.
2. Use the paint tool in Behind Mode and paint in black.
3. Use the paint tool in Erase Mode and erase the white

Remember: When complete return the crop / paint tools to the regular settings.
