Vitamin bottle labels - Youraturd - 04-30-2020
Hi,
I’m a beginner using gimp I know how to use most of the basics, I am currently trying to design my own supplement range. I have managed to create a box design in gimp and I have created a label for my supplement.
I am trying to find a way of wrapping my label around a vitamin bottle, is there any good tutorials for this?

See Filters → Map → Map Object and use "Box" mapping. You provide layers for each of the six sides.

Hi,
Many thanks for the replies I have watched that video a few times and curved the label i just can’t get the image to look good enough.
When you see some brands online they make a long rectangle label with 3 sections to it and then show it wrapped around the vitamin bottle, I didn’t know if this could be done In gimp.

I will do some research for this, I wonder if it would be possible to do this with a cylinder shape rather than a box?

Then use map to Cylinder instead (3 layers, one the cylinder, and one for each end).

This video is really helpful. I was trying to wrap my label around the bottle too this weekend when I had free time in my Greece property. It's a really fun process I like it a lot.
