Boundary warp - msdobrescu - 07-03-2020 Hello, I make panos with Hugin. The results boundaries are not rectangular. I need to crop them. Is there a deformation technique to get the most of them, similar to the boundary warp tool in Photoshop? Note, I have added a feature request here: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/-/issues/4679, but until somebody implements it, if somebody will, I need an workaround. I am sure it is not trivial. Thank you. RE: Boundary warp - rich2005 - 07-03-2020 Quote:I need an workaround. I am sure it is not trivial. I am sure it is not trivial either. Whatever is used can only extrapolate from what is there. You could try the resynthesizer + heal transparency plugin(s) Using linux? Depends on the distro but good chance of this one working https://www.gimp-forum.net/Thread-Gimp-2-10-Resynthesizer-Linux?pid=11261#pid11261 A quick render with Hugin, a cylindrical projection to give a curved border. Then Filters -> Enhance -> Heal Transparency Before: https://i.imgur.com/3bIFmZh.jpg After: https://i.imgur.com/k4soZgM.jpg As you see not perfect, especially the left side. All very much depends on the image. RE: Boundary warp - akovia - 07-03-2020 (07-03-2020, 12:17 PM)msdobrescu Wrote: Hello, I make panos with Hugin. The results boundaries are not rectangular. You could also try using the Cage Transform tool and/or some strategic cropping, but I would suggest the heal transparency tool the same as @rich2005. I would add a couple notes though.
