How to save/convert to CYMK & PMS color formats - PurpleArachnid - 10-12-2020 I have a logo that i need to save/convert to CYMK and PMS color formats in order for it to be properly printed. Can anyone tell me the best way to do this? Thank you! RE: How to save/convert to CYMK & PMS color formats - rich2005 - 10-12-2020 It is possible to import / export CMYK into Gimp using a plugin. see: https://www.gimp-forum.net/Thread-CMYK-color-mode-Gimp-2-10?pid=11743#pid11743 All editing in Gimp is of course RGB so there is always a colour change on conversion. Spot colours for pantone is another matter. Probably best to use Scribus see: https://wiki.scribus.net/canvas/How_to_create_spot_colour_sets_from_scratch https://wiki.scribus.net/canvas/Spot_Colour_Palettes_in_Scribus RE: How to save/convert to CYMK & PMS color formats - PurpleArachnid - 10-12-2020 (10-12-2020, 04:44 PM)rich2005 Wrote: It is possible to import / export CMYK into Gimp using a plugin. see: https://www.gimp-forum.net/Thread-CMYK-color-mode-Gimp-2-10?pid=11743#pid11743 All editing in Gimp is of course RGB so there is always a colour change on conversion. I hope that will be useful. |
