Rectangular selection not transforming - bradbutcher - 11-01-2020
Hi,
Rectangular selections are no longer transforming on GIMP. It was working earlier and now when I press enter the transform isn't applied. I've been tearing my hair out over it all day so any help would be appreciated!
I'm new to gimp so it's probably something really simple! Attached is a link to a video of what's happening!

Two possibilities.
1. If you are trying to transform the selection, you are in the wrong mode. You are in layer mode, next one along is selection mode.

2. Trying to transform the contents of a selection. You need to copy first, then paste as a temporary 'floating' layer. Layer mode is correct for this, but no copy, no transform.

Changing it to selection mode seems to have fixed the issue!
