Cropping Layer to Path - joshhh13 - 07-19-2017 Hi all, I am pretty new at GIMP and just use it occasionally. I would like to cut down a layer to a specific path I have created so that the image matches up with that layer. I have the path created, but can't figure out how to make the crop happen since it is only a partial selection. I have attached my .xcf file. Thanks for your help! RE: Cropping Layer to Path - rich2005 - 07-19-2017 Not too sure what you want. Something like this? ![]() You have a quick mask active, so first turn it off Select -> Toggle Quick Mask. That leaves you with an active selection. Guessing that you need to invert it. Select -> Invert and cut Edit -> Cut Turn the selection off Select -> None Turn the path off Paths dialog -> click the eyeball icon Then you have a choice depends what you want. Leave as-is or Layer -> Layer to Image Size or Image -> Autocrop Image. (as shown) |
