sample points - Pirlouit - 03-17-2021 [attachment=5742] Hi, I just installed Gimp 2.10.22. I am on macOS. When a photo is imported, the Sample Points window is empty and a message reads (in french): This image has no sample point. However, I checked Display -> Show sampling points. In Picker mode, by installing the guides (vertical / horizontal) on the image, I have the Picker window (pixel / RGB) that opens. But nothing in the Sample Points window. How do I display these sample points? Does it depend on the type of photo (RGB or sRGB, etc.)? Thank you in advance for your advice. RE: sample points - tmanni - 03-17-2021 When you use the Color Picker, you are only picking a color, not adding a sample point. To add a sample point: 1) ensure Rulers are visible : menu View > Show Rulers 2) hit Ctrl key and click on a ruler (horizontal or vertical) and drag your mouse cursor on the canvas You will see a cross centered on the mouse cursor ; release the click to add the new sample at the cursor position. See my 3 screenshots. When I place the guides (vertical / horizontal lines) on the image, I get blue dashed guides. By placing the mouse pointer on the intersection of the two axes, the dotted lines turn blue. When I'm in Move Tool mode, by clicking and holding the click, I move the axes together from place to place. In this case, the axes are solid, white lines. But still no numbered reticle ... Then I had to send the same post twice because I made a mistake with my attachments. What it's like to be 70 ... I just got it. But this is also a mistake in Gimp Help. As I am on a Mac, it is not the "CTRL" key but the "CMD" key (the apple) that you have to press. And it works: see capture. |
