How to wrap paragraph text in an image - arun67 - 08-12-2017 Hi All, I'd like to wrap text in an outline based image. So for example, I have some text paragraph : My house is red - a little house; A happy child am I. I laugh and play the whole day long, I hardly ever cry. I have a tree, a green, green tree, To shade me from the sun; And under it I often sit, When all my play is done. And I have an image of heart (outline only). I want to fir the above text paragraph in the heart image. With Gimp, a bit more labor intensive using the text tool:
RE: How to wrap paragraph text in an image - rich2005 - 08-12-2017 Try using Gimp and see if you can get a good fit with a heart shape. otherwise: Gimp is not the tool for this: PS has certain vector-like abilities which Gimp does not possess. The tool for this is Inkscape, and that has a steep learning curve, same as Gimp. I advise asking on the Inkscape forum. http://www.inkscapeforum.com Something like this, a path drawn heart, and a block of text, http://i.imgur.com/6GsaWlC.jpg after a bit juggling with text size and spacing, text-to-frame gives this. http://i.imgur.com/XFq8ypC.jpg To get into Gimp, either export as png from Inkscape or save as a vector svg file. Opened in layers in Gimp, the svg file can be imported any size large or small. http://i.imgur.com/dtzZi9c.jpg The svg attached as an example, remember to un-zip it. |
