Reducing colors - yahtzeefish - 07-30-2021 Hello, Is there a good way to reduce the number of colors of my image to only have 4 colors? I was using indexed mode under Image but I was wondering if there was a cleaner way to do it... See attached! RE: Reducing colors - PixLab - 07-31-2021 Many ways depending what you want, indexed mode is not bad at all

Adaptive mode - dithering zero - tones 4 [attachment=6457] At least it keeps the image in RGB mode, retains some semblance to the original (98000 colours) and does actually result in 4 colours (as set in gmic) As with all graphics, a lot depends on the original image. |
