How do I create a perfect curve transform - gib65 - 10-31-2021 Hello, A while back, I created this front cover for a book: I'm trying to remember how I transformed the second half of the title: "Great Planetary Odyssey". It was straight at first (like the first part of the title: "Captain Gabriel") but then I curved it. I'm wondering how to reproduce the same effect on a different title. I tried doing it with the cage transform tool but I can't get it to look smooth with a perfect curve. Is there any other way to have this effect besides the cage transform tool? RE: How do I create a perfect curve transform - PixLab - 10-31-2021 Cage transform I would recommend to never use this Tool... for anything! In your case Filters ➤ Distorts ➤ Curve Bend... It seems that you did used the Lower option only... which is the bottom of the text/image to curve (to amplify the effect, do a Layer ➤ Crop to content before opening the Curve Bend) Add as many nodes as you need and move/drag them to smooth the curve [attachment=6950] Result (after applying the effect your layer might be somewhere partially hidden, just use the move tool to bring it back where you want) [attachment=6951] More ➤ https://docs.gimp.org/2.10/en/plug-in-curve-bend.html RE: How do I create a perfect curve transform - gib65 - 10-31-2021 That's great, PixLab! That did the trick nicely. |
