Invert Colors Behind Layer - CubeGamer647 - 12-06-2021

I was wondering if there was a way to make it so that a layer is completely transparent, and every pixel behind the layer is inverted, no matter where it is dragged. Kinda like they did in sonic mania, if anyone's played that. I want to be able to drag the mask around and take the effect with it. Can someone help out?

  • Add transparent layer
  • Fill shape with white
  • Set layer to Difference mode
See added disc to the right

Thank you so much!

Can you add other effects to it, such as desaturation or hue chroma differences?

Perhaps. Just a matter of findind the right layer content and blend mode. Add a layer group, put your effect layers in it, and move the group.
