Color adjust question - sl60 - 01-26-2022 Is there a way to take a flat paint color (as in a paint color chip) and make it look like it were outside with sunlight shining on it? RE: Color adjust question - Douglas - 01-27-2022 Yes, first it depends on what you're putting the color on. If it's a flat surface like a picture, you can simulate light scatter with the use of the light features in Gimp, or manually using a soft airspay @ 255 white, with a weak force, maybe 1/4 opacity to start. Less is more, you just want to give the impression of light on the objects. If you are texturing a 3D model, you can achieve that perfectly by PBR manipulation of the Red Green Blue channels. For models, you create your Albedo, and accompany that with a Composite and Normal file to give that effect. It's a really cool science, the results are what you see in games. |
