Problem to open files in Gimp - AdamC - 01-28-2022

Hello, I am new here and I just installed Gimp 2.10 on my MacBook Pro.. I am using MacOS Big Sur. I have problem opening up my pictures and i get som varning as attached. What is the problem here?

You probably need to wait for a real OSX user to come along but in the meantime.

Looks to be a permissions issue: Some advice here https://stackoverflow.com/questions/58462296/could-not-read-the-contents-of-desktop-operation-not-permitted-gimp-mac-m See the last comment there which is for bigsur.

Thanks.. But i have the 2.10.30 version installed. 
I read it is nothing to do with the Gimp version more (see the last comment) 

root folders are found under System Preferences → Security & Privacy → Privacy (tab) → Files and Folders (not Full Disk Access)*.
  • Network Volumes

  • Downloads Folder

  • Documents Folder

  • Desktop Folder
*This is on macOS Big Sur (Version 11.4)

Where you might have to go and give user permissions.

...but then I use linux and do not have such problems.  Back to you will have to wait for a OSX bigsur user to come along.
