Can't send to printer in high quality mode - BobSundquist - 09-22-2017 I am trying to print from gimp. When I open my printer driver (Brother MFC-J480DW) and select quality = Best then try to print it prints in Normal mode. When I open the printer driver again it shows that it has reverted to Normal mode. I don't have this issue with the printer driver when accessed from other programs. RE: Can't send to printer in high quality mode - rich2005 - 09-22-2017 welcome to gimp-forum.net Well..... There is no real solution for this at the moment. Gimp originates in linux and Windows printing is an add-on that is less-than-supported. To be fair to the developers, they realise this but there is no one there at the moment to improve matters. I have a Brother printer, works fine (more-or-less) printing in linux. For printing a DVD I have to resort to Windows and run an old Windows Virtual Machine for the DVD printing application. If Gimp does not remember the quality setting, try setting a 'profile' as default. Might work.
