I did a try and... (I was aware about animated webP, but never tried) Woww! You just convinced me, size and look compared to gif is like comparing stone edge and nowadays. I also learned that WebP supports 24-bit RGB color with an 8-bit alpha channel, compared to GIF's 8-bit color and 1-bit alpha ➤ Thus a way better image quality. GIF ➤ 190 kB [attachment=7681] WebP ➤ 56 kB only... [attachment=7682] Thanks guys for the wake up EDIT: do all webp showing a link on GF instead of an image...? You might need to update your website to show animated (or not?) webp directly in the post... that's a bit of a bummer to be obliged to click on the link... (in the end, may be it's websites slowing down the switch to webp... ) Also it could have been better to see the comparison on the same post/page RE: Obituary for the GIF - Krikor - 03-26-2022 (03-26-2022, 07:09 AM)PixLab Wrote: EDIT: do all webp showing a link on GF instead of an image...?
