Indeed! the eyes  (like in the layer stack can make the tool visible/non visible), also you can see alive when you move/affect a tool in your tool box (put the preferences window on the right to see your toolbox alive)

You don't read post nor screenshot fully? Look at the third arrow pointing down on my screenshot... click on that button, chose an option, if "Custom" the slider below will highlight active, move that slider...
