FG/BG - PixLab - 08-26-2022
This FG/BG
It looks nice with my color, don't you think?
More seriously ➤ We always speak about this "Tool", some call it FG/BG swatch, I call it FG/BG icon, others call it FG/BG button and we always try to "explain" what's this icon, its position on the UI, when it's a very-beginner we do need to write the full "ForeGround/BackGround (FG/BG)" what so ever... and yet it's not in the icon's tool list on GF...
(Jeeez I love this direct screenshot to imgur from ksnip, and just Ctrl+V while writing > again thank you @Krikor ),
anyway, let's get back on track ➤ it would be nice if we can have this icon
No need to try to explain to "click on the rectangle underneath the white square" (or vice-versa) or the double arrow or the tiny B&W square to reset it.... and let's face, it would be a nice add-on to the tool's icon list of GF
PS: there is even the icon posterize, that nobody use it and not the FG/BG...
RE: FG/BG - Ofnuts - 08-26-2022
Like this?
PS: While I'm at it, I also added the icon.

So I also moved to KSnip because it is really efficient at adding annotations, but remember that:
- G-F.n has no control on what happens on Imgur, they can decide at any time that they no longer allow hot-linking(*), and so you posts become image-less (this happened with other image sites (photobucket IIRC))
- Some users may have a browser configured to not display images that don't originate from the same site as the page (this is a fairly good defense against ads)
- We try to be not too hostile to users with low bandwidth, images above 600x800 are thumbnailed to 600x800 and to see the image in all its glory you have to click on it, and putting images on external sites bypasses this.
So I recommend that you still use G-F.n images in your posts here.
(*) Reddit and StackExchange sites are a special case, they have official ties to Imgur.
