Color change on importing - Bassman - 09-12-2022
When I import an image to an existing image as a new layer many times the color red is brought in as gray. I have changed my preferences and color management many times but nothing seems to work. How do I get the image to come in true?

Are you importing a RGB image into an Indexed Mode image?

In that very case it could be just a grayscale image.
@OP: check if Image > Mode is set to Grayscale and if so set it to RGB

Could be, but it reads like only red is changed.
