Doing a line thinner - aka - 10-20-2022 Hi, If I take by exemple calligraphy to do a line, is it after that please possible to use something to make this line thinner ? Thanks RE: Doing a line thinner - rich2005 - 10-20-2022 (10-20-2022, 05:05 AM)aka Wrote: Hi, Not really, best to make the line thinner in the first place. The My-Paint set has a variable calligraphy brush. If the painted line is dark on a lighter background it is possible to shrink using Filters -> Generic -> Dilate It does not work with a transparent background and repeated use will degrade the line(s) [attachment=8884] The other way is make the line using the paths tool, then stroke that with any size required. It does what "Dilate" and "Erode" do, but has options in it, and Alpha channel is handled by this filter. 40 seconds video https://imgur.com/MQ7Lkcl RE: Doing a line thinner - Ofnuts - 10-20-2022 (10-20-2022, 05:05 AM)aka Wrote: Hi, How do you draw the line? If you have a graphics tablet, you just use a Dynamic that links brush size to pressure, which is the most natural. If you use a mouse you can have some success with a dynamics that links brush size to speed (the faster the bigger). |
