Gradient 2.10.32 - Dork Strikes Again - 10-25-2022 What are the standard settings for gradient? I downloaded 2.10.32 and gradient does not work as before. I cannot lay down multiple radial gradient "bubbles" as I have previously. The gradient tool now has on screen editing where you can adjust the gradient without using the gradient editor. Note in the gradient tool options you now have a temporary gradient called 'custom' that keeps any changes you make. If you need to go back, to say, FG to Transparent then you need to reselect it. To work the same as Gimp 2.8 you will have to hit the Enter key to fix the gradient and then start a new instance This a comparison, first 10 seconds is Gimp 2.8 and the rest 2.10 https://i.imgur.com/VafiFZa.mp4 (...but then shift-alt never moved the gradient in 2.8) RE: Gradient 2.10.32 - Dork Strikes Again - 10-25-2022 (10-25-2022, 07:53 PM)rich2005 Wrote:(10-25-2022, 06:59 PM)Dork Strikes Again Wrote: What are the standard settings for gradient? This worked for FG to transparent setting but once i switched to Flare Glow Rainbow it stopped working. Oh well, it works as expected here. Another example this time with a radial flare gradient. This to note: Top of the gradient list is a 'Custom' Gradient. No need to worry about that if all you draw in is a gradient (start & end) points same as Gimp 2.8) To fix that gradient and start another hit the enter key. (or you can always choose another tool but that becomes tedious) You can edit on canvas. As well as moving the start & end points, you can add or adjust the stops in the gradient. Once you edit anything you are now using the Custom Gradient and that remains in force until you choose a new gradient or edit again. You want to go back the the default gradient setting, the stops in the original places, re-select the gradient from the list.
