Need some help - saih_tam - 11-19-2022 Hi I'm sorry for my bad English. I am really incompetent in advance Gimp using. I would like to modify the "down right corner" symbol of 'Note_Cymbal_Yellow_Sizzle.png' in order to look like the 'Note_Cymbal_Miss_Sizzle.png' symbol but I don't know how to do that. I would copy/paste the "down right corner" symbol in the other file to obtain the 3 other corners. I imagine it's a basic manipulation for an expert. Could someone do that for me please ? RE: Need some help - Tas_mania - 11-19-2022 I don't think this is translating very well. The cymbal has corners? I can't see them. RE: Need some help - saih_tam - 11-20-2022 "Down right corner" is the part surrounded by green. RE: Need some help - Krikor - 11-20-2022 Maybe this [attachment=9029] or this [attachment=9030] RE: Need some help - saih_tam - 11-20-2022 Thanks a lot for your help. I misspoke myself. I would like to modify the "down right corner" symbol of 'Note_Cymbal_Yellow_Sizzle.png' (green surrounded zone) in order to look red "transparent" like the 'Note_Cymbal_Miss_Sizzle.png' symbol (blue surrounded zone). I try to do this modification by myself (last attachment) but it’s not consistent enough with the other : too opaque and not red enough. RE: Need some help - Tas_mania - 11-20-2022 [attachment=9034] I rectangle selected lower RHS box then > float (it becomes a new layer) Colors > Curves and dragged the line up to the left to lighten. Then Colors > Hue Saturation > selected red color and moved the 3 sliders to get a similar effect. Cheers. RE: Need some help - rich2005 - 11-20-2022 Not as simple as you want and probably never an exact match. Too many screenshots to post on-line so follow the imgur links 1. Use a sample point to find the properties of the miss sizzle image Sample points : https://docs.gimp.org/2.10/en/gimp-sample-point-dialog.html The dock Windows -> Dockable Dialogs -> Sample Points https://i.imgur.com/fW9dY17.jpg 2. Separate the corner of the yellow sizzle image. Select / Cut / Edit -> Paste As -> New layer / Select -> None https://i.imgur.com/RbrX9kA.jpg 3. Colours -> Curves and adjust the red / green / blue individual curves to match the values of (1) https://i.imgur.com/wUc7eDt.jpg 4. Adjust the layer opacity to 49 (125 in the sample point) https://i.imgur.com/aoTSLzd.jpg Gives this: [attachment=9035] Now tell us what you really want RE: Need some help - denzjos - 11-20-2022 What I did : - load original layer - new layer with color red/orange layer mode 'overlay' - new layer white layer mode 'Lighten only' / opacity 50% [attachment=9036] RE: Need some help - saih_tam - 11-20-2022 (11-20-2022, 08:50 AM)Tas_mania Wrote: I rectangle selected lower RHS box then > float (it becomes a new layer) Thanks a lot for your help. I tried it, but it didn’t work : it's not very intuitive and I'm a novice. In doing that, you forgot the transparency Could you please redo that on the original files attached to my first post (on 'Note_Cymbal_Yellow_Sizzle.png' compared to 'Note_Cymbal_Miss_Sizzle.png') with transparency ? I tried it, but it didn’t work : it's not very intuitive and I'm a novice. Yours are two yellow/orange compared to the "model" ('Note_Cymbal_Miss_Sizzle.png'). I work on french version of Gimp. I found "mode 'overlay'" but what is "with color red/orange" ? RE: Need some help - denzjos - 11-20-2022 1 / click on the FG to get 'Change foreground colour' menu and set colour (between red and yellow / orange) 2/ fill the 'color' layer with the colour [attachment=9038] |
