Saving a font after you've created it (not downloading and saving) - usmdesigner - 10-25-2017 I find myself trying to recreate the font I used for my youtube thumbnails all the time. Is there a way once I have the font edited that I can save it for later use? I have to resize every time, change it to the font I like, then apply affects. RE: Saving a font after you've created it (not downloading and saving) - Ofnuts - 10-25-2017 You don't create fonts with Gimp. You may be applying effects to text. So if the questions is "Is there a way to just change the initial text and get the same effects applied automatically to it?", the answer is no. There may be ways to record what you did as a script... RE: Saving a font after you've created it (not downloading and saving) - Blighty - 10-25-2017 You can create a bitmap "font". Not really a font, so it does not scale very well. But it may do what you require. See here for the script (use version 16): http://gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=14045&hilit=font and here for many "fonts" created in Gimp: http://gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=14696 RE: Saving a font after you've created it (not downloading and saving) - usmdesigner - 10-25-2017 Ah Crap. Thanks for the reply everyone! |
