Loss of Layer Groups when Importing a PSD - chris34 - 11-06-2017 Hi all, I've been using GIMP for a long time with PSD files and never had an issue until just yesterday. I have a PSD file with many layer groups, all of which appear just fine in PS, but that are all broken and jumbled together when loading the PSD into GIMP. What can I do? Thanks! Chris RE: Loss of Layer Groups when Importing a PSD - rich2005 - 11-06-2017 Not much support for PS format in Gimp, every new version of PS includes features that Gimp does not / is unable to support - action files, adjustment layers.... AFAIK a PS layer group is liable to be flattened and without those adjustment layers. Since you use Windows you could try the development version Gimp 2.9.6 which claims slightly better support. Gimp 2.9.6 will install in addition to your existing Gimp 2.8.x Try the one from http://www.partha.com |
