I’m new to this I’m making A.I art and when making an image after upscaling and uploading it to gimp . I make 5 templates with ratios 2:3 3:4 4:5 11”x14” and A1 size . When I try to export these images from gimp to jpg I can only seem to export the 2 smaller sizes . The ratio sizes show as a 0kb file and don’t load up . Iv tried saving to different folders but it seems gimp can’t export these file sizes . Is there anything I could do to fix this ? Any help would be really appreciated, thank you ?

Gimp is a raster (bitmap) editor that works in pixels
First thing to do is read / understand this: https://www.gimp-forum.net/Thread-Image-size-in-Gimp
For example: Your A1 template can have a variety of pixel sizes, all correct when you go and print. Some are better quality than others. Gimp default A1 on the left , Still A1 but smaller pixel size on right.

The same with your 'ratio' templates. They need a pixel size and a printing resolution which you determine.
Ratio 2:3 could be 2 pixels x 3 pixels @ 1 ppi (stupid value - prints 2" x 3") or 600 x 900 pixels @ 300 ppi which also prints 2" x 3"
Confused ? What is the aim of your project, for printing or on line display ? How are you making your templates ?

Yeah the images I’m struggling to save are 7200x10800 pixels which is my 2:3 , the 7200x9600 and the 7200x9000 I’d upscaled the image in topaz at a size 24x36 (2:3) at 300dpi and used the same image in gimp to scale down to the sizes needed . But I just can’t save those first 3 images
24”x36” ) so this fits in perfectly in gimp at 7200x 10800 with 300dpi but I’m just unable to save after if created them

Sorry but I just do not see the issue. You scale the image to some size W pix by H pix with a suitable ppi for intended use. This is sometimes helpful http://resources.printhandbook.com/pages/viewing-distance-dpi.php
You can always check the print size
Image -> Print size and if ok
File -> Export using whatever image format you want.

How exactly are you scaling down to the various sizes ? It should be a straight Image -> Scale Image with a size in pixels and a ppi of your choice. When you Export are there any warning messages ?

So . I’ve figured out what I was doing wrong . The issue was that it was saving as a 0kb file and unable to open . It was because I was saving the file name as 2:3ratio . I tried saving as 23ratio without the : and it’s working now . Thanks for the help

Not only some characters, but also some names are forbidden on windows

The following filenames are reserved:
Windows:
CON, PRN, AUX, NUL
COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, COM5, COM6, COM7, COM8, COM9
LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, LPT4, LPT5, LPT6, LPT7, LPT8, LPT9
(both on their own and with arbitrary file extensions, e.g. LPT1.txt).
Other rules
Windows:
Filenames cannot end in a space or dot.

Ah ok, good to know, they improved...
But a question, is it now possible that you name 2 files with the same name in the same folder(Desktop folder for example) but 1 having just upper case difference, something like "myfile" and "Myfile"? Or is it still impossible?
