Reduce image to simple color palette? - Fleas - 11-11-2023

I was just wondering if anyone had any tips on how to "flatten" an image's colors to give it less depth and feel more like an 8-bit sprite.  Here is an example of what I'm working with:

I have a few hundred of these types of images so I'd like to know if there is a way to easily reduce all the different shades of green to only one green.  Same with brown, etc.  Using tools like posterize, threshold, and so on tend to pick up the wrong parts of the image and I would be doing tons of edits either way.
