Klone Tool - helmut.regenfuss@t-online.de - 01-25-2024 Sorry, I'm a beginner in gimp. I have a picture with white text on black background. First I want to remove the text. I try using the klone tool. I use the ctl-key for marking the source spot. But the klone tool does not do anything. I would appreciate a help tip RE: Klone Tool - Tas_mania - 01-25-2024 I would just use the paintbrush of appropriate size. Make your foreground color black (000) and just paint over the white text. If your background is a shade of black select it with the eye-dropper tool (part of color select) and make that your foreground color. Foreground color is the first of two to be used by pen or brush. RE: Klone Tool - denzjos - 01-26-2024 Some information : https://www.minitool.com/news/gimp-clone-tool.html RE: Klone Tool - zeuspaul - 01-26-2024 If you have a selection somewhere then the clone tool will not work somewhere else. In the top menu, look under select and choose select none. RE: Klone Tool - sallyanne - 01-29-2024 Also, make sure in your clone 'tool options' the alignment isn't on registered or none RE: Klone Tool - bijutoha - 01-29-2024 As you mentioned, hold down the Ctrl key while clicking to set your source point. Make sure you click on an area near the text that has a similar texture and brightness to the background. Avoid areas with shadows or highlights. |
