Hi res question - doodle - 02-04-2024 I am trying to make a hi res from a image. Going to print I increase pixels but it does not seem to work. I am using version 2.10 Give me some detail and examples if you can. Thanks RE: Hi res question - Tas_mania - 02-04-2024 You are limited by the resolution of the image you started with. Most internet-sourced images have been down scaled to make web pages load faster. Some minor improvements can be made with G'MIC upscale or detail enhancers under G'MIC 'repair'. RE: Hi res question - sallyanne - 02-05-2024 If you cannot get the plugin to work on your computer try it Online RE: Hi res question - denzjos - 02-05-2024 @doodle, maybe this is an option for you : https://www.gimp-forum.net/Thread-Upscaling-photos-with-Upscayl RE: Hi res question - doodle - 02-05-2024 I tried those online sites they just sharpen image but not what I am looking for. I added this image, the left part is mine using images I got online I used cloning and a bunch of tools, the image on right is what I am going for. It is hi-res. If you zoom in you can see it clearly. RE: Hi res question - Tas_mania - 02-05-2024 It looks like coral made by minecraft ![]() Larger image size (1000px wide or more) that look good will have better resolution. These look like thumbnails. Good quality phone cameras have made people used to hi-res images. RE: Hi res question - denzjos - 02-06-2024 @doodle, what you need is a good AI graphic program because you can not convert something with no details to something full of details : some AI programs can do this because they 'glue' things together from other photos / pictures that the AI program 'learned / borrows'. Sometimes the result is acceptable, sometimes the result is a mess (not like the original that you want). Try some online AI programs, maybe you find some that give you an acceptable result. RE: Hi res question - doodle - 02-06-2024 I( know the guy who made the coral on right side takes his own photos. I will try A.I might work.
