[WINDOWS] Resynthesizer not showing up under filters - dainer - 04-05-2024 Hello like the title states the healing filter is not showing up in GIMP. I use this folder C:\Users\*\AppData\Roaming\GIMP\2.10\plug-ins and the resynth-partha files for 64bit Windows versions from this forum, but I also tried the Github RAW files before. https://www.gimp-forum.net/Thread-Resynthisizer-Heal-Selection-Runtime-Error?pid=12687#pid12687 I watched basically the same video by different uploaders on youtube for over 20 times and it just doesn't make sense to me. I followed the procedures exactly but only Filters>Maps>Resynthesizer shows up, not Filters>Enhance>healing ------ GIMP Version 2.10.36 (revision 1) Windows 10 22H2 Python 3.12.2 Any help would be greatly appreciated RE: [WINDOWS] Resynthesizer not showing up under filters - rich2005 - 04-05-2024 Well I hope you got rid of the github files first. This is in a Win 10 64 bit + Gimp 2.10.36 --------------- Edit: Ah..., you have installed a separate version of python (Python 3). Gimp uses 2.7 as the console shows. GIMP 2.10.36 Python Console Python 2.7.18 (default, Jul 1 2023, 20:56:56) [GCC 13.1.0 64 bit (AMD64)] That explains why the python plugins are not working. ------------- The four files from resynth-partha.zip go in your plug-ins folder, no sub-folders put them straight in. [attachment=11586] The python plugins show as heal-selection and heal-transparency Obviously to work selection needed / alpha- transparency required as appropriate. [attachment=11587] Sorry, I can not help much as it works here. RE: [WINDOWS] Resynthesizer not showing up under filters - dainer - 04-05-2024 Thank you for your thoroughly and fast response. I tried uninstalling Python 3 and installed Python 2.7.18, but sadly that didn't help. I went through the registry like a berserk and removed anything python specific, reinstalled GIMP (which brings the right python version) and it works now. Thank you for bringing up the python topic! |
