Help - Chrome - Windows - sallyanne - 08-05-2024

Dont think it is my computer. Am just having problem with one site atm.
Cannot see the last 11 replies on a thread of mine from my computer. Am wondering if it  is also making the whole site slow for me. Saw all I missed on my phone.
I know it is not gimp related but was hoping someone here could help me with a solution.
I was advised to remove a 'hosts file # website name'  but don't want to do that unless I know it is safe to do so.
Any one here use windows? and where would I find the host's file if it is ok.

Yes, you have probably set the gimpchat.com address in the past in your etc/hosts file to circumvent some DNS problem (I also did it...) but you didn't remove it once the problem was fixed. Since then GC has moved to another address, and the entry in your etc/hosts prevents your PC from using a DNS to get the actual address and forces it to use the old one.
