Another appimage - rich2005 - 11-03-2024 This is the one mentioned in https://www.gimp.org/news/2024/05/28/experiments-appimage/ (I think) It is based on Debian, so while it works here on kubuntu 24.04 , it is not going to be universal. It is Gimp 2.99.19 but I am not sure how old it is, probably that end of May date. There are some extra themes you can add, this one described as "Warm". Not my cup-of-tea (or coffee) but interesting. 245 MB download. RE: Another appimage - MrsP-from-C - 11-03-2024 You can get the latest from gitlab works on Debian12 systems and LinuxMint Debian edition (LMDE 6) Goto gitlab Artifacts, https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/-/artifacts Find the link named gimp-debian-x64 The list there changes a lot, so you have to look for it each time Once found: In that row to the right: click on the browse icon Once there goto build linux appimage _Output GIMP-2.99.19-x86_64.AppImage => that's the download RE: Another appimage - vitforlinux - 11-04-2024 I tried this appimage from Gimp 2.99.19... but I still prefer the one from IvanHC, it is more likely to work, since it is based on the positive results of compiling the ArchLinuxCN package. I did know about the artifacts page but not that it contained the appimage. As of today, the Gimp 3 RC1 appimage is there (240 MB) and it does come with python-fu and script-fu. RE: Another appimage - Ofnuts - 11-05-2024 In Gimp3 on Linux the Python is the one from the system... Currently using Python 3.12 with a Gimp3 compiled "out-of-the.box". When your system is up to date making your own Gimp from source is reasonably simple. |
