I could not find any OSX 2.9.8 version on https://www.gimp.org/downloads/, and I can't find any older version either. Are there any 2.9 versions for mac?
I want to use extended color depth.

I use linux (and sometimes Windoze) but there are Mac versions of 2.9.x on partha's site
http://www.partha.com.
From what I read all depends on the version of OSX installed.
If you have any problems best ask partha.
