change everything NOT black to another color

Hello,

I've got an image with a black background, and the rest of the image is a variety of colors.

Is it possible (and how, if so) to change everything NOT black to another color...say, white...automatically?

Using Gimp 3 ? (must have a time machine )

Not automatic and always depends on the image...but...

Colors -> Threshold and a bit of adjustment with the slider should give a pure black & white image



Change white to something else Colors -> Map -> Color Exchange select the "To Color"
