Hi All,

I am using GIMP 2.10.20 on Win 10 x64. Recently, GIMP started to crash every time I try to launch it, giving the following message: "fatal error: unhandled exception". 
Also, the launch screen contains some weird symbols instead of typical writings (as can be seen in the attached screenshot). Clean reinstall didn't help. I would be grateful for any tips. Thanks.

There have been bug reports going back some time.

Typically https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/-/issues/2826 which references those rectangular characters
Which refers to https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/-/issues/1366 Gimp crashing at startup due to font issues. (edit: look at the last entry if you are using LibreOffice)

Could be a bad font somewhere.
