Font Problem

Cannot get font "X-Files" to work in Gimp, tried:
Re-installing, reloading font, re-installing font.

The font shows up under list but is not the true font, pressing enter when selected does not switch it. Any solution would be appreciated.

Try Ctrl+A to select all letters, then after, select the x-files font.

Maybe try another file https://www.dafont.com/pt/xfiles1.font

I agree with Krikor, broken font. I found this one which is called 'The X-Files'  https://fontmeme.com/fonts/the-x-files-font/

   

..and unless you use the font in other applications, do not install by Windows click-n-hope, use the Gimp fonts folder, that is what it is there for.  C:\Users\"yourname"\AppData\Roaming\GIMP\2.10\fonts

Used the gim[ font folder, it works now. Thank you so mch!
