path-waves script to make spikes on circle help.
#1
Hi,

I am trying to put some "spikes" on the edge of a circle.  You can see I have tried to do it manually.... and you can see where my skill is at :-)    I got some info and found this, but need a little help to finish this off.

Which of the path-wave effects I should use?  I have tired a bunch of tings and just can't seem to figure it out.  I got close with ellipse 20, 40k, none, 0.  What would be the best effects to achieve this?

Then it should be a simple fill.  Thanks in advance any/all help.

I figured this out. For some reason triangle was not show up as an option. Maybe my window was too small. I tried it a bit ago and got it.

That video link above was also very helpful.

You should not be using that video, it is old (2012) , out-of-date, there are better ways using scripts and plugins. I must get round to deleting those old Gimp 2.8 videos.

You found the triangle option in Ofnuts plugin  Exclamation

Looks like this, then path to selection and a fill. This using a gradient.
