Help me make a livery for a game
#1
Tongue
Sup  Wink . First post yet. I'm a newcomer, and I need help for a specific task: make a race car livery for a game.
I'm not english native, so expect some mispells and a software in French.

So here's the deal: I extracted a net from the game files:

This net contains 2 layers (calques):
-Texture
[Image: sc2.png]
-UV

UV layer is the outline of the model and Texture, welp, texture. What i'm  trying to do here is to use the UV layer to paint the car, but I don't want those grey outlines on the model. Here is what it looks like:

So I guess I need to add a new layer (Livery) and try to match it with UV, then erase the UV layer after I painted the whole thing.
Any ideas?

Specs: GIMP 2.10.24
Windows 7X32

The lines on your UV layer are used to cut out the contours, where to cut in and fold lines. They are needed to make the car. What you can do is give this lines a little lighter color than the color of the area around this lines. After you colored all the areas you can set the UV layer on mode 'overlay'. The lines are then shown lighter. If needed, use the opacity layer slider to make the lines even lighter.

I still have to work on the lines between 2 different colors... Nevertheless this helps me. A lot.
