GIMP 2.10.14 doesn't work on MacOS Big Sur

this is just getting to be more and more nuts, its so jerky it almost un-useable. I am now seriously looking at a replacement program for Gimp (that I don't want to do) just so that I don't fall even more behind. When is the fix coming??????
