Sick of changing the appearance of the transparency always by opening Edit > Preferences > Interface > Transparency.
As I'm often changing appearance of the transparency by using the background mid-tone checks, black, gray or white,
I'm looking for a hotkey to open this setting option faster than walking through the preferences menus.
Thank you

As far as I know that is not possible by setting a hotkey

I always open a transparent layer/new image
Then depending my needs, I just drag n' drop a color from the "Foreground/Background" icon below the tools, which either the foreground or the background will work
below dragging a yellow color to drop on the active layer
This also work from the main select color (the 2 colors in the red rectangle), it allows you to not change your 2 default FG/BG color without changing them, just click on the foreground the window opens chose a color then drag n drop like you see on the screenshot below, then click Cancel once you've dropped a color = you can drop a different color without changing your default colors

Even better if you switch to the palette tab in the selector, and the current palette contains your usual background colors...
