i agree with the comments above re the water drop off.
another thing you might want to expereiment with by way of exploring ways to refine it, is using a harder/crisper eraser when cropping the fish that are disappearing into the water, and matching the angle of the water to the angle of your eraser stroke. and it it is supposed to be a steep and long drop waterfall, then experiementing with adding some spray would be a nice way of throwing a little extra texture into the mix, in order to soften what is quite a hard and crisp image. i'm not saying these are 'the way to do it'. that's always your call according to your intentions and preferences. rather, i suggest them as something you might want to consider playing with, to see if you prefer the before and after. making art is to be in a permament state of asking 'what if...?' kids call this play, and adults (in their vanity) call this 'art'. but it's play. |
